30 The Great Vol. 6 /No.2/2024ABSTRACTPulp disease based to its type, divided into three, there are pulpitis, necrosis and pulp degeneration. Root canal treatment (RCT) is one of the endodontic treatments chosen by clinicians to treat the root canal of a tooth before done with indirect restoration. Consider into limited time of patient visits, clinicians simplify patient visit times to a single-visit RCT. The method used in this literature review is to examine several national and international journals related to Pulp Disease and OneVisit Root Canal Treatment with keywords used pulp disease, endodontic treatment, single visit RCT consisting of case report and literature review which is then used as a reference in making this literature review. The results of the literature review show that one-visit RCT is as effective as multi-visit RCT and success depends on the steps of aseptic, cleaning, shaping, and hermetic filling (endodontic triad). Clinicians need to pay attention to indications, contraindications, clinical conditions and supporting examinations before further treatment is carried out. The conclusion of this literature review is One-visit RCT is as effective as multi-visit RCT and the succes is depend on asepsis steps cleaning, shaping and hermetic filling (endodontic triad). Operator must consider the clinical condition of the patient with the diagnosis and the treatment to be taken.Keywords: pulp disease, endodontic treatment, single visit root canal treatmentPENDAHULUANPenyakit gigi danmulut merupakan masalah kesehatan yang paling banyak dikeluhkan di dunia, khususnya Indonesia. Penyakit gigi yang umum diderita oleh masyarakat adalah karies yang nantinya dapat berlanjut menjadi penyakit pulpa kemudian menjadi penyakit periapikal. Penyakit pulpa dan periapikal dapat ditangani dengan perawatan kuratif, yaitu perawatan endodontik. Tujuan dari perawatan endodontik adalah menghilangkan bakteri yang ada di saluran akar dan menciptakan lingkungan yang tidak mendukung mikroorganisme untuk berkembang biak.Penyakit gigi dan mulut memang tidak termasuk dalam daftar penyakit yang mematikan. Penyakit ini menyebabkan sebagian masyarakat mengabaikan upaya pencegahan atau pengobatan penyakit gigi dan mulut, padahal penyakit yang menyerang gigi dan mulut dapat menimbulkan akibat yang sangat serius seperti gangguan kesehatan (Handoko & Neneng, 2021).
